Seats
The majority of 3 wheel double buggies start life as single pushchairs, although some can convert to take the seat of a second person or carrycot with adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). You'll also find that some models allow you to add a ride-on board for older children who want to walk, but need some help.
For a lightweight option that is ideal for city streets, take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo. It's a breeze to move and comes with a large basket that has plenty of storage space. It can hold twins from birth and will accept two car seats or seats and a carrycot. The seats are required to be facing forwards, and there's not enough space for a shopping bag underneath, so you'll need a sidepack to do that.

Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easily your child/children and you can push it. It is essential to have a smooth ride as babies can feel every bump on the road. This is especially true if you are driving on rough terrain, such as grass or unpaved roads. Some models have locking front tires that assist in maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Certain models have air-filled tyres that provide a fantastic all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures so make sure you have spares in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres, which are specifically designed to handle bumps and can be less prone to punctures, but you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back if you decide to jog.

Folding
